January 2010 – Cypress, TX-Houston Premium Outlets starts Phase 2 expansion which will bring the total number of stores at the center to 145, adding 114,000 SF of gross leasable area bringing the center to 541,000 SF. The new stores will be open in time for the 2010 holiday shopping season.
March 2010 – Cypress, TX – Sysco Corporation purchased the former HP call center located at 24500 US 290 in Cypress. Sysco is currently renovating the 650,000-square foot facility with a targeted move-in date of early October 2010. Sysco will ultimately house up to 2,000+ employees over the next eighteen months.
March 2010 – Jersey Village-The City of Jersey Village has announced that the Jones Road extension between FM 529 and US 290 has cleared its Environmental Impact Study and that construction of this portion of Jones Road will begin very soon. In addition, the City has unveiled a schematic concept of a transportation-oriented mixed-use development utilizing the improvements of US 290 and the proposed rail line.
